Alleluia Tribe’s Visionary

Barbara Daphnis-Marc

president, FOUNDER, CEO

Barbara was born in Port-Au- Prince, Haiti and came to the U.S. at the age of 12. She earned a B.A in interdisciplinary studies from Barry University, A master’s in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Guidance counseling from Trinity International University. Barbara's career has been outlined in community mental health centers while working with those affected by chronic mental illness. She is presently an educator in our local school district pursuing a doctorate in psychology to expand her knowledge on human behavior as to become a better servant.  Apart from being the foundation’s visionary and trustee, she also serves as its president. Barbara is married to deacon Ogide Marc and has been blessed with two sons Zachary & Ruben whom she considers to be her pride and joy. Around 2014, The Lord began to place a strong desire in Barbara’s life to minister to the terminally ill, the disabled and those in prisons from the Haitian community. To her disappointment she could not find a local Haitian mission who could train & facilitate her involvement in this type of social service. This inspired her to start Alleluia Tribe, a non profit entity where can answer her calling and engage her young children as well in a legacy of service whose sole purpose is to magnify & exalt the person of Jesus-Christ.

She is inspired by the following Bible verse :  ”..Each one should built with care; For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid , which is Jesus-Christ. “ 1 Corinthians 3 : 1 . Her outlook on ministry is reflected by the narrative on This perspective on Life (posted below ) an original poem by  Kent Keith made popular by Mother Teresa,

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies. Succeed anyway.If you are honest and frank,people may cheat you.Be honest and frank anyway.What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight. Build anyway.If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give the best you've got anyway. You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God;
it was never between you and them anyway !
